USflagThe colors of the US flag never fail to inspire. Were you aware that the colors stand for character qualities? Every time you see the colors fly consider:

White stands for purity of actions, innocence, pure intentions and high ideals. The white stars on the blue background remind you to look to the heavens for help, for next steps, for hope. The white stripes mimic sunlight streaming down to give you energy and life.

Blue signifies justice, perseverance and vigilence. Our God lives in the heavens. He is faithful. “True blue” at a whole new level.

Red reminds us to act with hardiness, valor, courage and a readiness to sacrifice. Through the perilous fight you face:

    • to honor your debts by paying them on time
    • to raise resilient children
    • to sacrifice a portion of your spending today, in order to retire with dignity
    • to valiantly create the greatest benefit using the resources entrusted to you by God

Seeing the US colors flying high reminds you of the people who have served, who are serving, and who will serve in the Armed Forces to protect our rights. Seeing color guards post the colors brings to mind the final sentence of the Declaration of Independence, “we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our Sacred Honor.” Do you know exactly what that meant to them in the late 1700s and early 1800s? Google it and find out.

Why would you live enslaved to sloppy money habits when so many have fought for you to have the opportunity to live a free, color-filled life?

The white stars and stripes of our flag remind you to choose to live by your highest ideals and values, remembering that every dollar casts a vote, so we must cast intentionally rather than impulsively. The blue rectangular background reminds you to persevere and be faithful to the long-term financial goals you set no matter what unexpected things happen, you stay true to the course to which you are called. The bold red of the stripes reminds you of the courage, valor and sacrifice that has already been paid in blood so that you have the opportunity to succeed financially and otherwise in the United States. Your life flies high for others to see. Encourage them by your measured successes!

What visual cues do you see every day that remind you of the financial goals for which YOU are willing to fight and to strive and to sacrifice and to step out courageously for all to see?
